A bright, sunny and hot day was ahead for Katherine and Steven’s beautiful wedding day. Their gorgeous wedding took place in Sutton, ON. Upon arrival at Katherine’s parent’s house, all the ladies were at ease while Maryellen of The Art of Makeup and Hair was dolling them up. In true gentleman style, Steven and his groomsmen were relaxing waiting for the ladies to be ready!
Their ceremony took place outdoors at Jackson Point Provincial Park. Knowing Katherine and her best gals were relaxing, I went to set up the ceremony area to check up on seat up and see all the little details she created for her special day. A large wooden sign hand written by her sister guided the guests for the day’s events so they knew what was happening and when. A popular saying for ceremonies, not having guests sit on specific sides, was a sign they didn’t forget. Being a very hot day, they provided programs that were also fans. Guests could read the ceremony program and cool themselves down at the same time – how practical! The best part, Katherine’s mother grew all of the flowers for the arch – such an amazing mother!
Katherine had the grandest entrance of all – she and her dad arrived by horse and carriage from Lionel’s Farm! As they walked up to the guests who were patiently waiting, you could feel the excitement build! The beautiful sounds of Sophie Rusnock Harpist topped this grand entrance. Nothing could stop Katherine and Steven’s ceremony, not even the down pour of rain that came right during their vows. The rain didn’t phase the couple and actually made for some pretty awesome photos. After they were officially married, Katherine and her sister Emily serenaded Steven with a beautiful song – it was so touching and Steven was so surprised!
After the ceremony, the horse and carriage took the couple to take some amazing photos with their photographer Emily Christine Photography along the water while the guests went to the reception site, The Briars, to dry off and cool down. I couldn’t get over how gorgeous this area in Sutton was – so picturesque! Katherine’s bridal bouquet fit her perfectly – Idalia’s Creation did such a fabulous job!
Once the couple finished their photos, they followed the sounds of Northern Latitude who was playing jazz music for their guests. They entered the reception venue which was lite up so beautifully by vintage wine bottles with twinkling blue and yellow lights surrounded by white rose petals. A crisp and clean room of white linen and napkins allowed the couple to shine. Their head table was a true representation of their love coming together – Steven is English so it was a coming together of English and Canadian traditions. Guests were treated to a delicious BBQ buffet followed by a scrumptious 3 tier cake from Nutmeg Bake Shop. The evening was full of singing and choreographed dances – what a talented family! Wayne Jones DJ Services made sure everyone danced into the night and Pic It Up Photobooth was there to capture all the fun moments!
The couple has now settled into their place in London, England and I can only wish them the best life together full of amazing adventures! It was so much fun being a part of this beautiful day! xoxo
