It’s funny, most of the time I speak to the bride first then closer to the wedding day, the groom comes to meetings and I hear from him more. For Rodelle and Trevor this was the opposite! Trevor called me one night, only 2 months prior to their wedding, asking me for information and help. He was concerned Rodelle was getting stressed and overwhelmed with everything so wanted to have a third party person help them out as their special day approached. I was truly excited to be that person and a part of their day as these two hold a special place in my heart!
Their special day started with the groom and groomsmen getting ready in Oshawa while the girls were getting all dolled up in their hotel room at Montecassino Hotel. As with most of my couples, when I go to see them they are playing music, chatting with one another and laughing; truly enjoying their morning before their ceremony. Rodelle and Trevor were both having a great time with their bridal party. As the afternoon approached, they were ready for their ceremony at St. Stephen’s Church. A beautiful ceremony given by Trevor’s childhood reverend that incorporated Filipino traditions (sponsors, cord, veil and candle). After they were officially married they were off to Edward Gardens to take photos with their bridal party. The photos by Focus Photography turned out SO BEAUTIFUL!
If you couldn’t tell from the photos above, the bridal party was A LOT of fun! Rodelle and Trevor picked such gorgeous colours that matched the fall season so well. The forest green mixed with grey popped at Edward Gardens. Back at the venue, there was so much to look at that Rodelle had created; the ultimate DIY bride. She made her rustic card box from burlap and rope, wooden coasters stamped with their names were a great favour as well as a memory tree of all the family members who couldn’t be present at their wedding. The guest tables had wooden slabs with mason jars that had wheat coming from above. Their head table had a large R <3 T wooden stick sign, again all made by Rodelle. Their semi-naked wedding cake added a bit of colour but matched her rustic decor. All of the set up and Month of Coordination completed by Classy Affairs.
After the photos were finished, the couple and bridal party joined their guests for a delicious buffet at Montecassino. Guests had a great evening listening to the wonderful speeches, participating in a Filipino tradition of the money dance (pinning money on the bride and groom) and dancing the evening away! I wish nothing but the best for Rodelle & Trevor in their new life together! They are now expecting a little baby boy and I couldn’t be more excited for them as they embark on this new journey. Thank you for choosing Classy Affairs and allowing us to be a part of many special moments. Love you guys! xoxo
