ROSA + JAKE – August 11, 2017

Where to begin with the wonderful Rosa and Jake? I met them in February only 6 months before their wedding and instantaneously there was a connection. Rosa and Jake both kind, smart, sweet-hearted and fun loving were an awesome couple to be able to go on a journey with!

Most wedding days begin with me going to the venue to begin setup and this was no different for theirs. After ensuring the venue was being set up the way they envisioned, I went to go check up on the bride. I went to Rosa’s mothers’ house where her and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Like all bridesmaids, they were excited! Rosa was very relaxed and calm while Jake, his groomsmen and best woman were goofing around. It was a fun start to the morning for all of them!

Rosa and Jake had a travel theme for their wedding which was present from the moment you entered the ceremony. As you enter the church, guests were greeted with a very fitting chalkboard sign. The couple had a beautiful ceremony which incorporated both of their faiths; including the breaking of the glass. The couple had their very sweet dog, Koda a part of their ceremony – how adorable is she?

After they were officially married, the couple and their bridal party went off to take photos throughout High Park. You can just tell how much fun everyone was which made the photos turn out so well! There were non stop jokes, laughter, smiles and happiness the whole day! While they were taking photos, I went back to their venue, Roma’s Hospitality to finish the reception set up.

Upon arrival to the reception, guests walked in for some delicious in flight snacks (super yummy candies!). From their invitation to Rosa’s handmade mailboxes, check in sign and seating chart, it all fit perfectly into the travel theme. A yummy 3 course meal was served and evening filled with lots of heart felt speeches, a hilarious shoe game to see how well the couple knew one another and a spectacular hula hoop performance that everyone was amazed by. It was safe to say, their guests had a blast at their wedding, enjoying all of the festivities! Rosa and Jake will take many new adventures as a newlywed couple and we wish them nothing but the best, especially on their move up north! Thank you for having Classy Affairs a part of your special day!
